Talk Topics
Why We Keep Having the Same Fight
Even loving, well-intentioned couples can get stuck in the same painful arguments. This talk helps you understand the emotional and nervous-system patterns underneath recurring conflict, so fights feel less personal and more workable. You’ll leave with a new lens for understanding each other and practical ways to interrupt the cycle before it takes over.
Anxiety, Low Mood, and the Body’s Stress Response
Anxiety and depression aren’t just “in your head.” This talk explores how stress, emotions, and the nervous system interact, helping explain why you may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted even when you’re doing everything “right.” The focus is on understanding your body’s signals and learning gentler ways to restore balance and emotional steadiness.
When Your Gut Is Trying to Tell You Something
Digestive symptoms like IBS are often deeply connected to stress and emotional load. This talk looks at the gut–brain connection in a clear, non-medical way, helping you understand how chronic stress, anxiety, and life experiences can show up in the body. The goal is not blame or quick fixes, but insight, relief, and a more compassionate relationship with your body.

Susan Liddy is a master’s-level Marriage and Family Therapist who helps individuals and couples understand the patterns that keep them stuck and move toward deeper connection, emotional resilience, and lasting change.
She is currently pursuing a doctorate in integrative health, with a focus on the gut–brain axis and nervous-system regulation, and also works with people struggling with digestive issues such as IBS and stress-related gut symptoms.
Known for translating complex concepts into clear, relatable language, Susan creates talks that feel grounding, compassionate, and immediately applicable to real life.
